Forms an interface between the RNA polymerase II enzyme and chaperone/scaffolding protein, suggesting that it is required to connect RNA polymerase II to regulators of protein complex formation.

Tightly associated with the RNA polymerase II complex. Component of the R2TP complex composed at least of PIHD1, RUVBL1, RUVBL2 and RPAP3. Interacts with PIH1D1. Interacts with TSC1 and TSC2. Interacts with PRPF8 and EFTUD2 in a ZNHIT2-dependent manner.
